The Saw Hoodie is FastCap's latest generation of saw hoods to effectively address the difficult problem of dust collection on mitre saws. The Saw Hood was designed by a general contractor to eliminate the catastrophic dust problem created by mitre saws. It’s super small and compact and works best on smaller 8-inch saws but can work on larger 10 and 12-inch saws as well.

It’s designed specifically for quick and minimal setup and takedown on job sites. Its super flexible metal spring ring design allows this hoodie to spring open and mount into the accessory holes on your saw. There is even a vacuum hose hole in the back that allows you to attach a shop vacuum for added dust collection.

Mounting to the hold down holes in the back of your saw’s wings, the hood is fixed and should remain sturdy during use.

Excellent dust capture, even with

Excellent dust capture, even with MDF. For larger jobs I connect the vacuum to the bottom of it. Taken hours off the jobs as I can take it to each room to second fix without dragging dust trough the whole house. Works well on my large compound saw but restricts the left hand 45 degree mitre on my 190mm as the battery/motor housing hits the mount poles. Not a huge issue but that's the only negative I can think of.
