Vicmarc Bowl Jaws suits VM 90/100
The adjustable jaws allow you to re-chuck bowls for finishing the bottom or do light clean-up work on the foot of the bowl.
To mount the bowl, the bowl is reversed and held by the rim, either internal or external, with 8 unique soft plastic stoppers which are mounted on the face of the jaws.
Available in 3 sizes depending on the capacity of your lathe
220mm, 285mm 385mm (size indicates maximum bowl diameter).
Yesterday I finally got the chance to use these jaws and it worked great. It was nice to see how much grip it had on the bowl I was finishing. Previously I had obtained jaws from another company and found them to be too small for what I was needing, but the Vicmarc is just the right fit especially since the other company does not have a larger size. It's lucky I can turn my lathe head sideways otherwise it would not have fit. Now I can experiment on larger pieces knowing it'll be fine to do so.
