The Sherwood Oscillating Spindle & Belt Sander can be easily converted from a spindle sander to belt sander making it ideal for most a broad range of sanding challenges.

Sherwood Oscillating Spindle & Belt Sander 450W
It boasts a large cast aluminium table featuring a tilting front section, ranging from 0 to 45 degrees, ensuring flatness, accuracy, and robustness. The rotating and vertically oscillating sanding action strikes a fine balance between work rate and control, enhancing efficiency while maintaining precision.
With five sanding drums ranging from 13 to 51mm in diameter, it offers versatility for intricate and shaped workpieces. Additionally, the all-metal belt sander unit facilitates easy belt changes, optimising work rate for both straight and shaped projects.
Equipped with onboard storage slots, the machine ensures accessories are readily accessible for quick changes, enhancing convenience during operation. Vented throat plates and an under-table dust channel significantly improve dust and chip extraction, creating a cleaner and safer working environment.
Bench-mounting holes provide secure installation, particularly beneficial when handling larger workpieces, while an NVR safety on/off switch with a dust cover enhances operational safety.
The included spindle sizes are 13mm (1/2"), 19mm (3/4"), 25mm (1"), 38mm (1 1/2") and 51mm (2") in 114mm lengths.

Amazing piece of equipment for the Price and a five year warranty to boot. I’m looking forward to the sand of being a very useful piece of equipment. My Guitar making workshop definitely recommended for those looking for an oscillating spindle sander.
Nice unit, not that loud.
Nice compact unit with onboard storage. Very versitile by having both spindle and belt sander able to be fitted to the same unit instead of having to buy 2 different machines. Some might find the enclosed 80 grit belt a bit coarse but other grits are readily available. Connect it to an auto vacuum and you have an ideal setup.
I did not think it was as big as it is, but that does not matter.
I have only used it twice and it is definitely well worth it in helping to get handles the right shape in some chopping boards and then putting the belt sander attachment on to do edges, I am very happy with my purchase, it was on a whim but glad I bought it.

Does what it's supposed to do. Bits and pieces are all nice and handy.
Unfortunately there was a part missing from the sander when it arrived. you are in the process of getting a replacement part from the manufacture as you had none available in stock so as yet I have not used the sander.
vibrates badly, its noisy, that is the belt part, the spindle runs ok, but its poorly balanced and us supposed to be for fine work, its bolted on belt but still runs badly

I bought this for smaller pieces I needed to sand, and I find it is a terrible sander compared to my Jet sanders. It is very noisy, as well, it is not a smooth running sander I found it on many occasions pieces fly out and nearly injured my hands as a result due to it lack of smoothness, the spindles work fine but with the belt sander it is very clunky, and not very powerful, it really needs a speed control. I would not recommend this sander. Its just not a smooth sander in the belt form. Cant say I like it, I just wished someone would make a professional smooth sander that had speed controls. Not my cup of tea.
Great machine, enjoy using it. Quite powerful.
