Make straight, square cuts every time with the Torquata Magnetic Hand Saw Guide.

This precision jig keeps your saw square across the workpiec, giving you accurate results no matter what your experience level. Perfect for all woodworkers who demand accuracy when working with hand saws.

Made from durable anodised aluminium, the Torquata Magnetic Hand Saw Guide keeps your saw on the right track and perpendicular to a workpiece. It is particularly useful when crosscutting tenon shoulders or defining the edges of a dado - times when it’s critical to get a square cut.

The machined reference surface has three embedded magnets underneath a magnetic strip. The magnets help keep your saw in contact with the guide while the strip allows it to glide along the reference face.

Two removeable locating pins square the guide to the edge of the board, ensuring perfect squareness on every cut. The bottom of the Torquata Magnetic Hand Saw Guide also has a high friction surface, so it can be placed on an angle across a workpiece to guide angled cuts with accuracy and confidence.

Key Features

  • Anodised aluminium guide keeps your saw on the right track
  • Accurate crosscuts tenon shoulders or dadoes

magnets a little weak but guide is accurate

Poor quality

Poor Quality -
1. the pins required shimming to get a 90 degree cut,
2. the saw slide material over the magnets was not properly stuck down , and was of inconsistent thickness that meant the saw could roll off square.
Be careful of Timbecon reviews as they appear not to display negative reviews (my last two)

Buy with caution

Still disappointed.
Withe a great concept, the implementation was underwhelming.
One squaring pin had to be shimmed to get a 90degree. The easy slip tape along the length of the guide was coming awayfrom the frame, plus the tape was not flat, so the raise along the centre line meant the saw would not sit flat against the 20mm width of the tape.
I for one would not recommend this product.
